Marathon Fees & Race Information

The Marathon course starts and finishes in Greensboro and incorporates 26.2 miles of scenic and historic sites and neighborhoods.

Pricing:

1. Until April 2, 2009:
   Individual Participants: $70.00
   Relay Team: $90.00
2. Until April 30, 2009:
   Individual Participants: $80.00
   Relay Team: $100.00
3. Until May 1, 2009:
   Individual Participants: $90.00
   Relay Team: $105.00

USATF SANCTIONED:
The N.C. MARATHON is a USA Track & Field sanctioned event.

Cut Off Time:
All participants must complete the race in 7 hours. Event officials reserve the right to pull a participant off the course if it appears as though that participant will not be able to complete the race in less than 7 hours.

Minimum Age:
The minimum age for participating in the N.C. MARATHON is 18 unless you have written parental permission.

Timing System:
The N.C. MARATHON will be timed using the ChampionChip Timing System.

Lodging Information:
The official hotel of the N.C. MARATHON is the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro (info above). Arrangements have been negotiated for participants of the race allowing rooms to be reserved at TBA per night. Please make sure you tell them you are with the Marathon when reserving your room or you may not receive this special rate.

Policies and Refunds:

1. A 50% refund will be available until April 2, 2009. No refunds will be issued after April 2, 2009.
2. Race registrations may not be transferred to another person.
